I am not sure if it’s my microphone or teacher’s, or Zoom audio settings - but the sounds can get cut off at the start, making it abit harder to hear certain words which matters for pronunciation. Other than that, every thing is good!

It's totally true what you said, Ms Koco 老師... We practice oral conversation by relating it to everyday life situations in order to make us remember deeply and help us. so Currently I speak Korean naturally, even if the grammar isn't correct but not mind hahaha Can't wait for the New Chapter in our next class. 좋은 하루 보내세요 ^^

Koco teacher is always so supportive and helpful! She always asks how my life is, which she later uses as a lesson in conversational Korean. She provides homework that relates to the class and helps me understand the vocabulary better. Thank you for all your help Koco!

When I first decided to learn Korean, I was reluctant to try an online tutor as I found in-person learning to be more style. However, as a surgeon with a busy schedule, online classes made the most sense. As someone who teaches other doctors and student in the hospital, I am intimately aware of the challenges of teaching beginners. For Rana, she is easily able to recognize the areas that need more work. She is incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and makes it a point to cater to your needs as a learner. In our first meeting, she was attentive and taking notes on your goals as a learner. Whether it is for travel, daily conversations, or work, she has made learning Korean so much fun. Her classes are very easy to follow, organized, and she always follows up with you after to make sure your needs are met. Rana is a talented instructor and I would recommend her to anyone. My only regret is not booking her sooner in my journey to learn Korean. She is patient and a natural at teaching, and by virtue of that, makes learn Korean fun and engaging. I cannot recommend her enough, she is THE best!

Thank you, Koco, for teaching me vocabulary to do with everyday situations e.g. visit to the doctor. I could already use the words we have learnt so far in respect of professions to make sentences. This will be helpful if we have an emergency in SK. We also completed our vocabulary work on 'Clothes', so now I can practise.
I really like your encouraging teaching style, it is fun but I learn so much. I appreciate that!

Today, I learned simple Korean expressions that can be used in restaurants, cafés, and shops. These phrases were really practical, especially for my upcoming trip to Korea. I was able to use them quite naturally, and the speaking practice wasn’t too difficult. This lesson gave me more confidence to communicate in Korean when I’m in Korea, and I found it very helpful!

It’s been a year since learning with Mia! My Korea has improved significantly although speaking still needs to be improved further. We had an interesting conversation on AI and marriage and it was fun! Although I must say there’s still a lot of words and vocabularies that I do not know, hence making conversation slightly difficult. Mia explained all the terms clearly to me and make sure I understood them.

Ellie쌤 is great! For intermediate level learners like myself, she introduces new grammar and vocabulary words. She also asks questions so that I can apply the new information in my responses. Thx!

Almost done with the last bit of learning Hangul, and I’m super excited to move on to the next part of the course! I really like how Lili always finds a way to connect Korean words to Mandarin or English — It makes it so much easier to remember both the vocabulary and pronunciation. Those little links really help everything stick!

Today, we have learned A/V-(으)ㄹ 리가 없다 which means "it's impossible to..." or "There is no way of...", and A/V-(으)면서도 which is liken to be "Even though... but still" in English. We have also talked about the various TV programs like Devil's Plan and Super TV. I have also shared the genre that I like and don't enjoy as much.

Today I learned a difficult grammar principle with Yumi. I'm a little discouraged, but Yumi 씨 is very positive and doesn't let me lose hope. She practices with me until I start to understand the meaning and until I manage to put what I've learned into coherent sentences. 감사합니다, 유미 씨.

Teacher Joonie gave me a very comfortable atmosphere to speak korean which i am very not confident to. He encouraged me to try first and then taught me the correct sentence and let me try again. I bought more sessions and looking forward to improve my conversational skill. Thanks Joonie 선생님.

It has been a while since I had my last class with Noah. I have been practicing sentence structure every day and learning new words and grammar points and sending them to him for feedback. At first I was upset cause I got so many wrong but I kept at it with his feedback and studying and now I haven't had an issues! Noah told me my reading has improved a lot since we last talked. That made me so happy! His classes are always the best!

Q3. How do I choose my tutor?
If you have a clear idea of your criteria for choosing a tutor - such as any specific learning objectives, target cost for tutoring, etc. - you can use the search function to quickly find a tutor who suits your needs, and select “book trial” to set up your first online lesson.
If you don't have time to find a tutor or aren't sure where to start, we can help with recommendations. Try using our tutor recommendation tool here, which will provide you with tutor matches according to your selected needs.
Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a tutor who is a native speaker?
One of the best ways to learn is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only .
However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
If you have a good range of vocabulary but lack the opportunity to practice, then we recommend you choose a native tutor.
Q5. Learn in the US - how do I find a local or online tutor?
You're in the right place. We have local tutors serving New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose and most other areas nationwide, as well as numerous tutors based internationally.
Q6. How much will my online class cost?
All tuition fees are set by our tutors themselves, not by AT. For reference, most of our tutors charge roughly CAD$12-38 per hour.
You can also get tutor matches that fit specific budgets. If a given tutor’s fees work for you, you can buy a package of lessons or start with a trial class by selecting “book trial.”
Q7. How do I pay for my lessons?
You can pay with PayPal or credit card (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa). For certain international markets (e.g. Taiwan), we also accept local methods of payment, such as payment via ATM or convenience store.
Q8. How many lessons should I purchase?
If you have a short term goal, we recommend you purchase enough lessons that you can take classes consistently within your timeframe. If you need significant improvement to reach your goal, we recommend you an adequate number of lessons, and get into the habit of regular weekly learning! The more you put in, the more you get out of it!
Q9. What if I have more questions?
