I have taught and tutored voluntarily and professional now for 23 years both online and face to face. I teach students with any level from beginner to advanced including children and babies. I have taught more than 5000 students in the past 13 years while overseas and have helped many students succeed in IELTS, TOEIC and EIKEN in Japan. I greatly enjoy teaching English conversation courses as this gives both my student and myself a chance to share knowledge and opinions with each other and to get to know each other as well. One of the many things I like to do is ask questions and have my student talk as much as they can and I will let them know where corrections need to be made. My teachings are different as they change from student to student as each student is unique in their desire to learn English and their requirements can also be different too, My style with younger students is to work with them on homework assignments or course material. The style I use with high school students is also different in that I mix the lesson between conversation and exercises in order to make the lessons more interesting. For University, College students and adult students, I either start a conversation to encourage them to talk about themselves or I use newspaper articles and ask them for their opinions. This, I find, works very well and as an encouragement to speak in English.
