Climate change

Today I am going talk about my memorable experience of my learning. I'm learning new vocabulary, discussing different topics, and reading daily news every day. Today I would like to share one of our discussing topics on how global climate change affects the western ghats of India. I chose this topic because I would like to share how my village in western ghat is affected by global climate change. My village is a small, beautiful village located near Karwar. It is a paradise of beauty because of the magnificent views of the mountains, looking everywhere at the greenery, diversity of flowers, and the river flowing through the middle of the village. Apart from the beauty, agriculture is the primary source of income. So we can see fields of crops, flowers, vegetables, and fruits. There is no pollution & the weather is pleasant and breezy. But in the last 3 or 4 years, the climate has been changing rapidly. That is affecting the western ghat & our village lives physically and naturally. Some factors contribute to climate change, such as greenhouse gas emissions, coal burning, deforestation, air pollution, industrial gas, etc. These climate patterns play a crucial role in shaping the natural ecosystem. These western ghats influence the Indian monsoon weather patterns that mediate the warm tropical climate of the region. These are the backbone & they act as a barrier to the Indian monsoon winds.
Global climate changes directly affect the nation. As per the report last four years, floods have ravaged the ghat areas of Kerala, thrice killing hundreds of people and delivering an overwhelming blow to infrastructure and livelihoods. Landslides and flash floods are happening in our village. Cyclones are also gaining intensity with the warming of the Arabian Sea. Because of Landslides, floods, and rains caused many types of damage to our village. It includes crop loss, contamination, soil erosion, equipment loss, etc.
Our village people are suffering heavily. So we should try to slow down global warming. If not implemented, you might see an increase in weather conditions, shortage of drinking water, agricultural yields, and impact on livelihood. How? Here is the answer.
Carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases are the main drivers of global warming. We need a newer and better transportation system to minimize carbon dioxide dumping into nature.
We need to stop deforestation.
We need a climate-friendly agricultural system.
We can switch to renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy.
Plant trees and recycle more to save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide a year by recycling just half of our household waste.
Turning off your television and computer, when you're not using them. It will save thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
According to the government survey, these are the small steps to protect the environment and its resources.
In conclusion, we need to take part and should try to stop global warming and other effects of climate change. If the earth's temperatures continue to rise in the future, living things on earth could become extinct due to the high temperature and try to end most of the climate changes that are occurring, this world would be a safer place to live.
