Class with Ryan was great. I was nervous to get back into speaking Tâi-gí since I have not spoken or used it in a while. His class made me feel like I will be able to reach my goal and I am excited to continue taking classes with him!

Those people who want to be deeply immersed in Taiwan, I recommend his Taiwanese course. If you can alrealy speak Mandarin, learning Taiwanese is a better way to understand Taiwan community. He is a very kind teacher!

Winnie was just great. Tâi-gí is a hard language to get to grips with, but she is both meticulous and encouraging, and I'm really looking forward to continuing to learn with her.

I really enjoy Bibi's Taiwanese lessons. It's a tricky language, but Bibi is such an enthusiastic teacher, I feel I am making good progress.

I had a lot of fun during class!! The mood was very relaxed but structured at the same time. I was very curious about Min Nan Chinese and the differences with Mandarin. Stanly explained the origin of this language very clearly to me and I also was able to understand the difference not only between pronunciation but the tones also. I learned basic introductions, like greetings and how to introduce myself and how to reply to questions about what I like or dislike. I had many opportunities to speak and practice the sentences. Thank you very much Stanly for everything I have learned today, this is not only really useful to me but it was also fun!

If you want to learn Taiwanese and are frustrated with how the average Taiwanese person or untrained tutor has no ability to explain pronunciation, romanisation, grammar, and writing, you should learn Taiwanese with Winnie. Apart from being a native speaker of Taiwanese, she has studied the language in university to a very high level, unlike the average Taiwanese person who barely gets a year or two singing songs in school. It really shows in her ability to explain things. She has a good grasp of what's "correct" Taiwanese and what "Mandarinised" Taiwanese sounds like. She's able to spot pronunciation mistakes and actually able to provide immediate useful feedback, which I think is very rare among speakers of Taiwanese. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone interested in Taiwanese to study with Winnie.
