While my gal is weak in Maths - made her escape from it. I like Cyrus sir style while he is not telling her the answer immediately when my daughter ask. Cyrus Sir checked with my daughter’s progress in sch n her cognition in the topics in class. He Is teaching in patient by asking her thought in settling specific maths Ques which she shown she has problem with. It makes sure she think in class. Then he identified any wrong concept/ teach her how to apply specifc tactics which were not taught in basic text book theory. Also Cyrus sir is able to sort out whether she has paid effort on her own when he asked her how to calculate n how she applied n make sure she don’t escape from any laziness or difficulty - so he tackled her problem one by one.

Mr Lee is able to spend time in students’ weakness area n teach unknown questions one by one. He also gave a test in the middle of class today. However maths is a complex subject, very difficult to show improvement unless focus practices on repeated mistakes exercises under schedule.

Teacher Hanna is able to capture my 11-year-old daughter’s attention very well. She gives her enough time to think and guides her toward the answers patiently. I really appreciate that she focuses on teaching the mathematical concepts rather than just showing her how to calculate.

Although I have only taken two classes so far, I have already felt the professionalism and patience of Mr. Ali. At first, I was worried that I would not understand DSE mathematics in English, but the teacher's speed was very appropriate and the explanation was also very clear, which made me quickly adapt to this teaching model. He pays great attention to the students' understanding and will confirm that we understand before continuing to explain. After two classes, I am full of confidence in the next DSE mathematics study, and I am looking forward to the next course!

My daughter takes Honors Algebra II with Arash, and we couldn't be happier with his teaching. He explains concepts clearly and provides extensive practice problems in class, which really helps her solidify her understanding on the contents. He creates a supportive learning environment and he's a great teacher! We highly recommend Arash.

My child is currently in 9th grade at a high school in the US. Mrs. Mercy listened patiently to my needs, and my child really enjoyed her first 50-minute trial lesson. Teacher Teddy connected with me before class so he could prepare appropriate materials to review with my daughter. I'm excited to find a multi-lingual teacher that can explain concepts in the same language she uses at school.

My daughter used to be afraid of math and struggled to keep up with her school’s curriculum. However, after attending sessions with Ms. Gloria over the past few years, we’ve seen a remarkable transformation. Ms. Gloria’s patient and encouraging teaching style helped build my daughter’s confidence and understanding step by step.
Last year, she even received an award from a UK math competition — something we never imagined possible before. It’s clear that Ms. Gloria not only teaches math but also inspires a love for learning. We’re truly grateful for her dedication and the positive impact she’s had on our daughter’s education.
Thank you, Ms. Gloria, for making such a difference!

A fantastic tutor who really understands the Australian maths curriculum. He explains difficult topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way, and always checks that I’m keeping up. His lessons are well-structured and have helped me improve both my confidence and test results. Highly recommend for students in Australia looking for strong academic support!

Gareth is an excellent maths tutor. After just one trial lesson, my 10-year-old daughter’s confidence was restored and her interest in maths reignited. She had been working through months of practice papers and had started to lose motivation, but Gareth’s patient and clear teaching style made a real difference straight away. We are very grateful and look forward to her learning more problem-solving strategies with him in future lessons. Highly recommended!

Good lecture!
With one past paper example demonstrated two probability knowledge points: 1) P(A&B)=P(A)*P(B) for independent events;
2)P(A|B)=P(A&B)/P(B) for conditional probability, though not getting into details of knowledge point 2 due to time limitation of trial lesson.
5*!!!

Teacher Jen was great at guiding my son Adrian to think on solving difficult questions, instead of directly telling Adrian the answer when he was stuck in a question. The way teacher Jen taught was meeting my expectation for Adrian to have fun, but at the same time developing his logic thinking towards more trickier questions.

If you don't have time to find a tutor or aren't sure where to start, we can help with recommendations. Try using our tutor recommendation tool here, which will provide you with tutor matches according to your selected needs.
Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a Math tutor who is a native speaker?
One of the best ways to learn Math is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only Math.
However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
If you have a good range of vocabulary but lack the opportunity to practice, then we recommend you choose a native Math tutor.
Q5. Learn Math in the US - how do I find a local or online tutor?
You're in the right place. We have local Math tutors serving New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose and most other areas nationwide, as well as numerous tutors based internationally.
Q6. How much will my online Math class cost?
All tutoring fees are set by the Math tutors themselves, and not by AT. Most of our Math tutors charge USD$10-30 per hour.
You can also get matched with suitable Math tutors who fit a specific budget. If the tutor’s fees work for you, you can buy a lesson package from them or start with a “trial lesson.”
Q7. How do I pay for my Math lessons?
You can pay with PayPal or credit card (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa). For certain international markets (e.g. Taiwan), we also accept local methods of payment, such as payment via ATM or convenience store.
Q8. How many Math lessons should I purchase?
If you have a short term goal, we recommend you purchase enough lessons that you can take classes consistently within your timeframe. If you need significant improvement to reach your goal, we recommend you an adequate number of lessons, and get into the habit of regular weekly learning! The more you put in, the more you get out of it!
