We tackled some confusing consonants and vowels in this class. Upon our discussion, we found out that my perception to the 'r' sound in French is incorrect. It is something good to know earlier because we could work on it for improvement. As usual, Alice was patient and encouraging as usual to correct my pronunciation.

Clara is very knowledgeable and precise in teaching French (intermediate level). She provides preview material before class and offers insightful guidance during the class. Her classes have a clear structure and defined objectives so I was able to follow through and make progress steadily. She also assigns homework to reinforce learning post-class. She is very personable and warm, and able to point out my areas to improve and provide support along the way.

Although it was only a trial class, I can see that Ariane prepared for the class and deep-dived to know each other during the class. It was an awesome experience and I will definitely have more classes with her.

After learning with Germain, I can gradually speak French confidently. The most important thing is that he is helping me to understand the internal rules of the language, rather than just let me remember them. This is a kind of experience that I never had when I learned French with other teachers.

Our second full lesson with Virginie was as good as the first - both exceeded our expectations. She listens well, explains in English but also converses in French exactly right for our level. She has a plan and vocabulary that is consistent with our interests, responds to our questions, provides follow up materials that make our study time between lessons very productive and enjoyable. I have been taking French classes for several months now. Emily is incredibly patient and dedicated, tailoring each class to my needs and providing helpful feedback on my pronunciation and grammar.

Today’s lesson was another great experience! I chose a children’s story written in French to read aloud in order to practice my pronunciation before reading it aloud to my own group of students. Julia was very helpful with feedback, not just correcting my pronunciation but also showing me the difference when a word is said by a French person and when it is noticeably said with an accent. I want to eventually be able to speak French in the best way I can in order to keep teaching it. I’m so pleased with my progress just in the handful of classes I’ve had to be able to help resurface my French which had been dormant for 15 years until very recently. But it does make all the difference to have an instructor like Julia, who loves what she does and cares about her students’ goals.

The class was easy to understand and there were plenty of opportunities to practice speaking in french. There was a review of concepts before going on to the new one. Sonia was also very friendly and easy to talk to.

I'm exploring the French world as Mathilde's French course has begun. I like her teaching style; language comes alive through her voice. For example, when she taught me verbs like 'Être,' she didn't just provide the words and definitions. Instead, she showed me how to recognize patterns in verbs and how to differented between them. When introducing new vocabulary, she guided me through reading a brief, allowing me to guess the meaning of words in context and understand how to use them in real life. She's a patient and professional teacher.

Just by the tryout class, I can feel that she is the right teacher after going through many other different teachers. She is very interesting and friendly, as she tells me what kinds of resources we are going to use and how our classes will proceed. This makes me understand the class more and is more willing to take the class after comprehending the content. Not only is she fluent in French, but she is also very fluent in English! She also chats with me like a friend! She would talk about my hobbies, my interests, and my home and school life! Overall, I think that she is a great teacher and will be a great inspiration to many students.

I have been taking private lessons with Camille for a few months now and she is amazing! Her classes are well-organized and the study materials are very helpful. She is also very patient with my learning and allows for many opportunities to ask questions/speak.
