I received my teaching certificate from Portland State University in a 280 hour program. ◻️ I have a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Letters. I specialized with a minor in Linguistics. ◻️ I love reading, writing, and teaching English. ◻️ I have taught both in-person and online. I have had successful students of all levels and language backgrounds. 🧍 ◻️ I am from the United States, and am a native English speaker. ◻️ I grew up in the state of Oregon, and speak with a clear, standard American accent. ◻️ I love animals, art, and music. ◻️ I know how to draw, oil paint and do some computer programming.  ✏️  I use a “task based” teaching method. This means that I introduce grammar and vocabulary information slowly, while helping you practice a particular real life language task. I make sure it is clear why you are learning a piece of information. I use real world texts and scenarios to make the information I teach as relevant and beneficial for you as possible.
